Eron, from South Bend, IN started with her beloved $200 pony Chew-Chee showing in 4-H, Hunter/Jumper and eventually Paint Horse shows with her second horse.
After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Animal Science, Eron worked in the thoroughbred industry with Three Chimneys Farm in the U.S., Puerto Rico, New Zealand and Australia. Realizing her heart was in training event and dressage horses, Eron and husband Scott purchased IRUS Stables in 2012, She has trained, coached and shown numerous horses and students with over 30 years experience.
Hayden at age 11 has definitely had a horse rich life at a very young age. As the 3rd leg of the Owens family, he has won 3 sanctioned events, 2 at Beg Novice, with his under sized super star of a pony, along with year end awards and countless other solid placings. He has been horse trekking over the mountains in Connemara, Ireland were he met his next mount, Baxxter, previously owned by Willie Leheahy, a famous Irish Connemara breeder and horseman. Hayden has had a passion and empathy for horses that is remarkable to watch from as early as we can remember. He is a member of Big Walnut Creek Pony Club and works hard on his riding!
Scott Owens also began riding at an early age in Ireland when his family moved over seas. He competed in eventing and was in pony club there before returning to the States in high school. Scott rode and competed as much as possible while completing a veterinary degree and then the Internal Medicine residency program from Purdue University. Scott ridden several horses over the years but currently competes on his Connemara cross mare which he has brought up from a young age through the modified level in Eventing.
Onsite Barn Manager, Ryan, is from Tennessee and graduated from an equestrian college with a degree in barn management after several years in the U.S. Army. He lives on site and works full time maintaining the barn and doing a million other behind the job tasks. Ryan also helps off site people in need of horse training and works a second job at That Sports Bar in Lebanon. Ryan trail rides and does ranch work with his Arabian horse, Baby.
Becky competed in Pony Club as a young rider and brings a degree in marketing to the team. She gives beginner rider and eventing lessons, is an assistant manager in the barn, helps exercise and train horses and is the Big Walnut Creek Pony Club co-DC. Becky competes in eventing on her first off track thoroughbred Penny, and is working on her second OTTB, Soko. Becky is a positive, focused instructor and a brave, confident rider.
Elizabeth works part time helping with the barn, training and exercising horses, giving dressage lessons and dragging the arenas after her full time job at Morning Dove! Elizabeth and her amazing Connemara pony, Windy Knight are working on third level together. She gives beginner and intermediate dressage lessons in her spare time!
